Mentors

Mentors are some of the most important people in our lives.  Weather they are your parents, teachers, coaches, or martial arts teachers, they are the people who teach us how to live.  They guide you through the beginning of your lives and their messages will live with you for many years to come.  I still remember what many of my coaches have said to the team before a big game or after a tough practice.  They taught me perseverance, self control, and hard work, which I carry with me today and will for the rest of my life.  Teachers have taught me most of the of the information that I carry with me.  They have taught me to be efficient and accountable with my work and prepared me for college.  Most importantly, I have learned almost everything from my parents and would not be the same person I am today without them.  I have learned manners, hard work, accountability, thriftiness, and responsibility from my parents.  Nothing can replace what I have learned from them with anything else.  Their teachings have been the most influential and meaningful, and I will carry their teachings with me forever.

  1. Mentors play a big part in our lives whether or not we know them personally. They can influence our beliefs, actions and mindset. I've had some significant mentors in my life. Leaders in the army and a family friend of mine. I feel like they have been a big part in my life and have made me the person that I am today. If even one of them hadn't been there for me, I believe that I would be a totally different person than I am today.
